So after some driving I popped the hood just to take a look at things and saw this just hanging there? Which sensor is that for? My temp. guage still looks good.

It is for the A/C fan switch, Looks like the 20 yrs. of heat got to the wire. Eather crimp it back together, or find/order a new connector with a pig tail and splice it in!

Wow. Thanks for that nice diagram. How difficult is it to replace all those sensors with new ones from Toyota, given that I get a good pricing from my local Toyota shop. Thanks.

Im not sure on price from toyota. As for the sensors it is easy but it looks like you just need the harness/pig tail for the sensors. I just checked both of my parts harnesses and both are not there. Eather ask for one in the "parts wanted" section or ask 935motorsports I beleve they are "rebuilding" harnesses

Ok. Thanks. But where do the other ends of these wires run to?

Given that most of these sensor wires are all the same age and it's just a matter of time before they all break, was thinking it's a good time to replace them all?

The other end of the wire runs to the ECU :( I would not replace the sensors just the harness plug. To replace the plug just pull back the wire loom or electrical tape untell you find "soft" wire, (about 6-8 inches) next cut off the hard, brittle, wire and splice in the new plug and wire there.

the pic is an example of what you are looking to buy. This is not the right plug you want just a example.

All of my thermostat area plugs broke off one at a time. Finally I found a very nice used harness to replace it with.

I wouldn't expect replacement clips with pigtails to be very expensive if you have a good connection at the dealer.

Right, the most I have payed for a plug with 6-8 inch pig tail (o2 plug and altenator plug) was $7 shipped each form other members here on the board. Memebers here like to help out another member when ever possable. Sorry both of my parts harnesses are missing the water neck plugs. but i have other good plugs still on the harness if you find others broken.

I've actually got the entire bundle of switches from an N/A harness. I'll be shipping the AFM plug off of it, but would take $20 shipped for the rest of them. I bought that set up just before finding my new harness.
