Okay, so the place I work at is handing out new uniforms, and from what the long time employees have said, its been a while since the uniforms were changed.

Logic would dictate that an employee would get enough uniforms to work for a standard 5 day work week right? Wrong, these mofos are handing out 4 pants and 4 shirts to everybody. :aigo:

What is the reasoning behind this?

The reason is likely that your employer is trying to spend less money. The more he spends on costs, the more he has to charge for goods/services.

Hey, that sucks, but I've been going to a school that requires unforms my entire life. That really blows. You have no idea.

And yeah, your place just wants to cut costs and expects you can wash them somewhere in the week.

my old job gave me 11 uniforms :)

Aye we went from (my department at least) 11 shirts and our own pants (of which I own the most logical number, 5) to this load of crap.

4 shirts and 4 pants, all polyesther.

I've always figured they were trying to shaft us with cost cutting, but jesus christ man, give us at least enough for the work week!

back when I used to do honest labor for a living (working in the printing industry) I LOVED having uniforms. Granted having 5 makes sence, but having a uniform in a dirty business is great. First of all you dont have to worry about ruining you street clothes at work, and secondly you always know what to wear to work. I also like the fact that I had less laundry to do that way, cause you can definately double up on something you only wear for a couple hours in the evening.

Uniforms are FTW!

Seems to be like the only good thing about uniforms, you don't have to go out and buy your own proper clothes for work.

i get 2 pairs of coveralls, but that being said i have an unlimited amount at my disposal, when ever i need them, i get them. Sometimes, even if i dont need a fresh pair, i go for a fresh pair anyways
