How hard would this be? I ask because HPF is running some clearance special on the pre 89 AEM EMS for like 12XX dollars but the post 89 is 17XX.

Could I buy the pre89 AEM EMS then depin my post 89 ecu clip and repin it into a pre 89 ECU clip?

Are there jumper harness available for this?

Thanks!

i guess you could down load the pre 89 pin chart from aem and the 89+ pin owners manual then compare the two pinouts. a jumper harness would be preferable to switch from the yellow to grey plugs but there would be some costs in that and PITA to do. You would need pin sockets from a 87/88 ecu and the grey plugs from a 89+ harness then wire it. May not be worth it.

I suggest make some more cash and buy the correct ecu. You could collect coke bottles, steal hubcaps, or prostitute your sister out, etc. be sure to get a map sensor. i dont think there is any electronic differences between the two but i dont know.
