Ok so my ssqv decided that it doesnt wanna blow anymore and i was told that it could be from the vacuum line from the bov, so i traced it in front of the 3000 pipe then it then it just goes straight down behind the fuel rail. Where is it leading and how could i possible get my ssqv to blow off? Ohh and i put the bosch back on. Thanks.

Not sure what you need? The layout is correct in your photos. That pipe connects to the surge tank via the piping described in my post above. If you think it is incorrect, just pull it off and check for vacuum at idle, there should be a strong pull.

I took the ssqv apart it doesnt seem to have any oil in it at all. Some mind telling me what the air filter with the ssqv is for?

From what I can see out of these pictures you keep your engine bay very clean, great job. Hell, your turbo looks so clean that you'd think it was new. I wish I could get me engine bay as clean as that.:3d_frown:

Follow the vacume line that's connected to it to it's end where it goes into the intake manifold. Make sure that there are no leaks on that hose. If not, then check the o-ring on the BOV and the c-clip, make sure it's on there tight. If it still doesn't work, push on the valve to open it a little and release to make sure it's not stuck for some reason. If it still doesn't work, start checking the intercooler piping for leaks. That's all I can think of, but I would guess that it's not getting proper vacume.

that vac line goes to a switching valve doesnt it? i may be wrong though. the switching valve may be screwed up and not opening to let vac get to the bov....but i could be completely wrong, anyone know if theres truth to that?

No , it goes straight to the surge tank with no valves inbetween.

Looks like you have the Bosch CBV installed. Pull it off, and confirm it is closed (no air flows through). Then get a hand vacuum pump, like a mighty-vac for instance, and apply suction to the vacuum control port on the CBV. You should see the valve open. You can confirm visually on the Bosch just by looking up through the bottom hose nipple. If it doesn't open then that's your problem. I don't see what else it could be since you've confirmed strong vacuum on the control hose.

Yea its for my car but i dont understand why i would do that. By taking my bosch off and hooking it up to a vacuum to see if it opens doesnt make any since because that has nothing to do with the vacuum on my car.

I mean test the other valve. It should be obvious by now that if the Bosch works and the other one doesn't, then the problem is in the valve not the vacuum plumbing! :aigo:
