Hi Everyone

We are doing a total restore of a 1987 Supra Targa / swapped to 1 jz

We will be changing wheels and tires > want to go larger but not sure what will fit best .

Objective > have tires close as possible, almost flush, vertical to the rear and back fenders ( all lips are rolled )

We have a new set of Bridgestone RE 11 / 255 - 40 / R17 but now may want to change to 18 " because we cannot get the rims
we want in 17 " + want to fill up the space. Car will have Tien adjsutable shocks so we can adjust height .

Our 17" new Bridgestone RE 11 may end up for sale ..

Has anyone put 18 " on a MKIII and if so = what offset did you find best ?

We are looking at 8 or 8.5 " for the front and 9 or 9.5 for the rear = not sure of fitment
or what problems we will face.

We have Wilboor brakes and are looking at chrome TSW Snetterton rims

Any feeback or help would be approeciated

thanks

18x10 18x9 +25 would fit good.

Depends on offset whether you want the wheel to be sunk or flush.

To Hyman

Thanks for advice.

Trying to get flush ..

10 " > maybe on the back > thinking max 9.5 and 9 on the front

To Scotty : right now about $15000 / still paint, custom mandrel stainless exhaust
and shaftmster aluminum driveshaft - so most likely another $5k

To Rodel : whats up with forbidden question ?

this is a double user account..... father/son...

thanks for the help... I'm guessing my dad missed the signature quotes..

basically I picked some Rota (don't hate/) P45R in black chrome.... 17X9+25 and put RE11's on them (monies in the rubbers...not the aluminum)

but my father would prefer a actual chrome (on white car)... these are more his preference;

but the sizes are crap IMO;

17x8.0
18x8.0
18x9.5
19x8.0
19x9.5
20x8.5
20x10.0
22x9.0
22x10.5

Those are some pretty crappy sizes for a Mk3... Who makes the RE11 by the way?

Sounds like a nice tire #04... too bad their sizes are a little limited. Nitto NT05 or NT01's are worth your looking into if you're looking for sticky. FYI, Nitto and Toyo are made by the same people. ;)
