what's this thing, i kind of looks like the oil pressure sensor that i got with my gauge. it cant be that easy can it?

no your gauge wont work off the stock sender (at least probably not) as they probably run a different scale of resistances.
its simple just go get an adaptor from a hardware store or pipe place.

Get an adapter to mate the two different threads and maybe even a "T" fitting so you can throw a Oil Temp sender in there as well...

ok so when i go to the store with the fittings i tell them i need a "1/8th BSP -28 tpi :to: 1/8" -27npt" is that the right way to say it? this is probably gonna be hard to find
You need 1/8 bsp male to 1/8 npt female adaptor.
As I said you can interchange them it's not ideal but it does work as it's only 1 tpi and 5 degree angle difference just be sure to use tape on the fitting.
