ok, im looking into buying another supra. its a 87 turbo auto. so, whats diffrent? anything on the wiring harness? ecu? id like to have a idea before i go look some more.

i would have thought the 87 had a 7m. i might be wrong. or did they just use a 6m crank in the 7m block?

then maybe m 89 7m is a mut?
all the codes match. as far as i have seen. im not trying to doubt anyone here. just trying to double check.
EDIT: i think you guys are trying to tell me that the 7m had the 6m crank through 89, right? if so, about when was the change over (build dates?)

08/89 is when the fully-counterbalanced ("7M") crank replaced the "6M" crank. Redline dropped from 6500rpm to 6250rpm.

Mounts changed in 01/89, crank changed in 08/89, so that leaves some months with round mounts and 6M crank.

7m is just more balanced on Cylinder # 2 and 5
