Well i have been doing this on and off for about 4 months now. Basically the basement we had was unfinished and ugly so then there was some decision along the line that it had to be done, so i got my ass to work a long side my brother and my dad, and we started work!

Here is basically the before pictures. This is the framing we did. We used metal in the basement so it wouldn't creak as much, but what a pain in the ass to work with. Not like wood...

Here is the electrical that we did.

here is the sound proof insulation we used which is easier to work with then the conventional pink stuff (and about the same price as well). It is also good because i practice/rehearse guitar down here, and we live in a semi.

We also used the pink on the far walls as we had some leftover from another project.

Drywall going up!

Me at work, i was very tired in that pic.

This shows the gaps that were in between crucial parts. not too bad for my 1st time dry walling i must say, it made the other finishing things a shit load easier as well.

Here is the lighting brackets we used.

Then we skip to the big portion of drywall put up.

Then the finished product! (we still got to do the other half of the basement, but we don't know how it is going to be set up yet..) also please excuse the mess, i got kicked into the basement while my relatives visit.

The floor is a floating floor, and wasn't bad at all to install.

Here are the pot lights, 6 of them in each section. 1 already went out which worries about how much it's gonna cost replacing them so often lol.

Very nice!!!!! I would rather be kicked to the basement when relatives come. More peace and quiet down stairs and nobody down there to pinch your cheeks..........:biglaugh:

Nice work on the construction as well. I'm looking for two more workers.........:icon_bigg
