sooooo.

today i made my fuel rail a dual feed setup. i used -6 lines for the feeds on either end and used the cold start injector port for the afpr.
the car still leans out up top, soooooo i guess it's time for bigger injectors. it looks like my 630's are not big enough. :(

Drove the supra today and it's acting weird almost cutting out under boost but then picks up like nothing's wrong. Gonna try to bypass the ebc tonight.

intermittent cutting out could be the CPS wiring. Mine did that a lot until I replaced the plug and wires. Driftmotion sells the bit you need if that's the problem.

I've checked all that already. Have continuity on both sides of the plug. Acts like a boost leak. Makes me wonder if it's pushing my BOV open. I'm running an eBay RFL style. Gonna try some different things tomorrow.

So I had a little R&R from work and decided to have some quality time with the supra lol I had enough of just one speaker working so I tore her down ordered some 6.5" components to make use of my Kevin M speaker pods I got. I bought some kicker speaker wire to replace the RCA crap wire I used before. Omg what a difference it made on audio quality! But the door pannel covers most of the speaker(need to get a pic) may need to find a set of 91-92' door panels. Saw someone(can't remember who) do this as well made a big difference

did an oil change and rotated my tires. After some regular driving last night I went to get coffee this morning coming back home I started getting a really loud knock around 2-25k DAMN :( limped it home checked to make sure I didn't loose oil. Pressure was lower than normal but idk how much I trust that gauge lol. Oil was fine can't think of what would cause it to knock besides it just being tired and something failed the knock is coming from #1 I think it's just time to do a rebuild I got a spare motor and head anyways. So here she'll sit while I get source what all I need.

I had a knock as well on my engine in my red 88. Turned out to be the cam gear bolts loosened. The guy who did the head forgot to torque them correctly. Did you do anything to those fears lately?

Not since the my last swap. I blew a head gasket a couple months back and after removing the head the pistons were pretty much done. So I went with a jdm 7mge. Ran fine up till now. I have some valve tap, my pops said we just needed to adjust the shims but we haven't touched that. The knock can be heard over the valve tap and is deeper. I really haven't took it apart yet to really find the cause. I'll be sure to check other things first before doing anything real tear down.

Also check the crank pulley is not loose. If it is rod knock, you can locate the bad cylinder by removing each plug wire and listening to see if the noise goes away.

I actually just did that, when I removed #1 it didn't go away completely but it was muffled a lot. Didn't do that's with 2,5 or 6. Pretty much set it's rod knock lol oh well.

Installed new targa seals and washed the car no leaks except for when I open the door water drips down where the pillar and targa meet at the front I guess that is just how it is or do you guys know a way to sort direct the water down the rail? I also fixed my suspension clunk it was the sway bar end link.

car looks pretty clean!

Thanks! Body is super straight. As for the motor the guy said it's never been rebuilt but that is obviously not true. Head has been redone when I removed the intake the valves had little to no carbon, removed spark plugs they looked almost new. Looked inside no signs of bhg, freeze plugs look new and stamped with "made in USA" has a different bolt type than stock behind cam gear etc. I think I'm gonna end up rebuilding the NA motor with an eBay kit since it's my DD and tear down the gte for forged internals/bigger turbo and supporting mods. The turbo seems like it'll need to be rebuilt which is what's leaning me toward that direction. The compressor wheel has a little play back and forth but none side to side, but I almost don't want to wait haha so close to having my first turbo car!
