That is a bad heater core though right? I want to be able to actually control the temperature instead of balls cold or balls hot lol

With the ac on I'm balls cold until I put it on like 76 or higher then it gets a little cooler. 76 on up is where my heater starts overpowering my ac lol

With R12 working properly it takes quite a bit of heat to overpower.... If you want just a little bit of heat then turn off your ac
:p
but then it won't be conditioned air in the car

I only run AC to heat if Im defrosting... not sure why else anyone would run it. As for temp control in the car, I have never worried about it... I have a targa... lol.

If its really humid but only 80 degrees ill run ac at about 77 ish

I can't completely control the temperature from 65-82 degrees it's tits cold and from 83-85 it's balls hot. I live in Houston, A/C is a must have in any car here it only gets cold for like 2 weeks out of the year but we do have a few months of glorious weather, targa weather as I like to call it.

Why not just clean out the temp sensor on the dashboard so that the climate control can do what it does? I've never had any problems with temperature control with my temp set wherever, A/C on or off (Unless it's A/C off, and it's hot out, in which case it can't get cool enough.) Never had any problem with it not being able to get to set temperature with R12 in the '89. (The A/C has a leak in the '90. I need to fix that...)

I can set the temperature the problem is when I set it to like 74 degrees it still blows as cold as 65 and only gets warm/hot when it's in the 83-85 degree range.

My buddies parts supra has a good high pressure line that I'm going to take. I also plan on putting new seals on the compressor (that's how you stop it from leaking, right?) and putting new o-rigs on the lines when I rebuild the engine

You are the third person I have everything heard of recently that has managed to do this...(assuming you are talking rear subframe in half at the diff) .. Does anyone make a reinforcement kit of any kind for this issue... The other 2 have had less than 400hp
