taken from my post in general...

This local(jackson, mississippi) street car shootout happened tonight at the track. I'm so proud of my little supra I pulled first place in RWD street tire class. I was the only non-v8 there in the class. Made me a couple of hundred dollars richer.

this was 1/8 mile, BTW...here are the times
reaction .722
60' 1.986
1/8th ET 8.68
1/8th MPH 87.33 mph

Not bad for the old girl. This was a true street car race, with entries required to be street legal, with true street legal tires. Inspection sticker, licence plate and insurance required. I drove her 110 miles to the track, made 8 passes, and drove her 110 miles home.

The only bad side is, now I need a new clutch, as the last pass against a nitrous injected fox body mustang took its toll on my stock disk.

Dude, don't feel shamed because it is only 1/8 mile, my auto 89 turbo with a slipping tranny i was getting 9.03 and 2.01 60's. I am sure when i get my tranny fixed i will be into the 8's with you, when it shifted 1-2 the engine was on the limiter and i had to back off to get it to shift. Be proud of the old skool MK3, i know i am and loving every minute of it, i whipped a dude in a 05 GTO and i was running 12 lbs. beat him by 2 lengths.

To roughly calculate a 1/4 mile time from an 1/8 mile time, divide the 1/8 mile time in half and add to the full 1/8 mile time get the 1/4 mile time.
Works pretty well. My 1/8 time was 9.3(divided in half=4.65) calculated 1/4 mile time=13.95
Actual 1/4 mile time 14.35 so a little optimistic but roughly

I was running faster than that three months ago, when I was at 10 psi.....with a stock downpipe, stock intercooler piping, stock afm and injectors.....hmmm. The car feels much faster now. I guess that slipping clutch is taking a LOT off my times.
