Not really a fan of vented hoods like that especially when you drive it. Rain? That is another issue. :aigo:

I talked to Curtis (MyKarisVicious) on SF when I first got the idea to photoshop this design onto a mk2 hood (not knowing that OrionZygarian had thought of it 1st for the mk3 crowd) and asked him about rain being an issue, and he said it wasn't.

That deff looks pretty good. I was thinking of using steel mesh on a stock hood for venting but I think you just changed my mind on that idea. Maybe throw some really small holed steel mesh in the holes where the metal is bent down for support? Would help keep rocks and/or what ever could fit in there out haha. But fyi that looks good man.

Nice work! You did a great job, I also like that style of vent, but I went a slightly different route. The only "problem" I see is yours are set back on the hood, in the high pressure zone of the hood and would be way more effective if they were more to the front in the neg. pressure zone of the hood. Not trying to be an ass, just pointing it out. I think you did a awesome job!

Here are some picks of mine, not done yet, still deciding on the number of louvers (if any) I want.
