Turbo Light !

Ok....here goes.
I will be attempting to install this red LED in place of the "TURBO" light on my 1g-gte tach. Not sureif it will work or not, but I am thinking of wiring the positive to the pressure signal wire of the stock boost gauge and then grounding the other end.

Someone stated to me that the gauge gets upto 5 volts.....and my results should be, if everything goes well, is that this LED will light up as soon as the Supra hits a certain boost level... lol.

I know this is lame, but its purely for shits and giggles.. lol

If the results aren't what you're hoping for try adding a comparator with a potentiometer to the equation.

Man I had forgotten all about the comparator and potentiometer. I should have suggested that.....................:biglaugh:

:1zhelp: *I* wouldn't want a "super bright" RED LED coming on when I hit full boost. In fact, the less red lights that come on, the better!!! :biglaugh:

I guess you would get used to it, but yea, when a light pops on I will freak, thinking o shit whats wrong now.

LoL my boost guage face glows solid red at night, looks sweet with the green interior lights, blue boost controller screen and purple neons. :icon_bigg

Yeah..you sound like the chick on one of my High school forums. She saw my car and called me a ricer...wtf..and said it had no heat.. lol .... I think it was her jealous husband though....he drives a v6 stang...so yeah....don't be like that chick dude.. lol.
