well, a little more progress today!

after the 7m my engine bay looked pretty bad:

so i power washed it with some degreaser and wow! i didn't know the subframes were gloss black! haha here is a pic before i started the tuck:

here is a pic of the subframe. still a little more cleaning to do but you get the idea:

and after i started on the tuck. i decided im going to keep my fusebox under the hood as changing fuses is going to be a pain in the ass with it hidden under the fender. so instead, its going to be laying down where the stock battery location is.

and of course, after my poor bumper got destroyed, i had more motivation to take it off to get the intercooler set up.

and no, i did not do the bs sleepy eyes on purpose, i had to get to some bolts under them and just left them like that.

so this week i will be painting the engine bay. not sure whether i want black or red though. any thoughts?

thanks! its coming along, slowy but surely! i will be dropping in the 2j sometime soon and get it running n/a code free and take it to emissions. then the fun begins! got to order my turbo kit, intercooler, dual warlbros, fpr, and map ecu. The real fun will start soon!!!

So got some more updates as of today. got off my lazy ass and painted the bay today. on to some pics!

i'm in the middle of the exact same proccess.. you just sprayed certain areas? my bay is white. i'm thinkin of going with black what do u think? btw car is white. but will be painted black too.

nope i did spray it all. the hardest part was taping everything off. i would go with whatever color your car is going to be. just matches well.

ok so i just got a couple packages! My order from driftmotion and chris (729) just got in. I got my jza70 motor mounts from chris and a few other goodies from driftmotion!

I got the marlin crawler bushing kit and installed it yesterday. Wow! what a difference it made! my shifter now has abosolutley no play at all and the shifts are nice and tight! Also order a few other things im going to need anyway like the stainless steel bellhousing bolts, pilot bearing, arps, Toyota oil filter, new air filter and a couple other goodies. I will be dropping in the 2j either this week or next week and will have it up and running with vids!

ok haven't really updated this thing in a while so here goes;
Gotten quite a few parts in the past few weeks. afpr, 3 gauge fittd pillar pod, aem gauges, hks fcd, t4 mani, garrett gt4082, and a bunch more i cant remember right now. on to some current pics!!

old 60-1 turbo stacked up to my new gt4082 is sooo small:

so its not a t4 flange, so i am either going to make an adapter for it and use the lag monster, or get a new hot side. im thinkin a .82 a/r should be good for my power levels.

thanks alot! i still have some cleaning up on it to do. like finish tucking the harness and poweder coating the valve covers as well as get my ffim done and install that bad boy. you can haz the turboz in the middlez for 250. lol

Ok so some progress today! got off my ass we (nate) dropped in my 2j! no tranny yet. still need to get my clutch and othet 1j goodies. i did get ahold of a 60-1 turtbo that i may be using to start off with so i can have faster spool for now.
Thinks to do list:
connect water lines/radiator lines
camry throttle cable
bellhousing
4 puck unsprung clutch disk
figure out exhaust
relocate battery(run power cables)
fuel lines.

i will be replacing the coil pack with is300 cop's soon. On to the pics!

thanks all! the motor is no where what i want it to be as far as cleanliness. i will be powdercoating my rims as well as valve covers and ffim. when i pull it in a couple months, im tearing the motor down painting it, replacing rings, bearings, and 3mm headgasket.
