Have some good updates for everyone.

So as I was checking for an oil leak from the oil cooler, I managed to accidentally push the radiator into the fan. Thankfully the fan was ok but the radiator was toast. Upgraded to a 3 core. Ebay special actually was better then expected! Minor figment at the bottom but was no issue. Didn't have to bend the factory supports like I have read from others so I was happy about that!

Also running a 12psi waste gate spring, boost is around 10-12psi. Lexus AFM is still causing cut at 12.6psi or higher. So if I am correct, someone please chime in if I am or am not, it's a bit lower then say a ct26 57 trim because I am running a bigger compressor. 60mm with the he351. AFM is going off of air flow past the LED so psi is not related to cut, only air flow is. Right?

Also, you can see in the video I am hitting a safe A/F with the Lexus AFM and stock 440s.

Once the DET3 gets wired in (maybe in the next month or two because I want to epoxy my garage floor and recharge the AC) then I will install the walbro 255 and some 550s if I am running out of fuel. Was hoping to shoot for 15psi. Thoughts?

Little behind on the updates! Will post some more pics in the next few days.

Took down the fuel tank today for a Walbro 255 and fuel filter. Only bolts that broke were the 4 for the plastic under shield, will be an easy fix so not to worried about it. Inside of the tank looked great too.

Once the install is all done I will coat the tank with a fresh layer of paint, it's in great shape so a wire brush and solvent should do the trick.

Also ordered new diff seals. Will tackle that this weekend. More goodies are on the way from Driftmotion too! 550s and AFPR

New aluminum rad, 4" intake, welded IAT bung to IC pipe for the det3 speed density.

Also picked up some JDM tails at a killer price! Resealed while I was there

Yeah figure now is the best time. Can hide the wires nicely with the tank out

Very nice Progress.

from the video i see that boost is not constant. it jumps 9-11psi while soing steady pull?

When does full boost comes on?

and your subbie pulls way better than supra. We can see that upgrade was well worth. It does sound weird under boost though. is it because of exhaust note that boxter engines have?

Thanks you.

Yes in that video it does jump a bit. I discovered I had a few boost leaks, well after the fact. So I hope that's resolved. I have a 16psi waste gate spring in now, would like to run that constantly and have stable boost levels.

I am going though it slowly and I almost have everything ironed out. The 7mgte engine is quite different then the ej20/ej25 I am used to. Full boost will come on around 3200-3500rpm.

Yeah the subbie is professionally pro tuned at 21psi 371hp/355tq and weighs 2800lbs. Absolutely love that car. Would be tough for the soup to keep up! But I'm working on it! The exhaust note is normal. It has some waste gate flutter to, so with the ewg it sounds quite different then anything else.

Walbro is wired up!

so you made that ct to t3 adapter? I'm in the market for one and i can only find cast ones on eBay but I was thinking of making one myself.

Yeah i ordered both flanges and a 45 degree 3mm thick pipe, wasn't that bad. Took me about half day. I suspended the turbo in the engine compartment to have it sit were i wanted, then trimmed the pipe to fit.

i have some pics a few pages back i believe. Total cost was around $60 i think.

Injectors in. Looks almost factory!

AFPR is almost done. Not sure how I feel about this like but it's not touching. I'll let it be for a little and see if my mind changes. Fuel pump is working after testing with the b+/FP short.

Just need to button up the fuel tank filler door, return line for the AFPR, dial in the fuel pressure and then we go for a drive!

Still planning on running 16psi off waster gate pressure, target afr will be around 11.

damn you make it sound so simple. I was looking into one of the cast ones on ebay with a 38mm flange on it but idk.

Do you have a welder and a chop saw/grinder?

It's not to bad! Promise.

First test drive tonight!

Still think I have a boost leak somewhere, I can see the digital gauge move from 12-16psi. But I don't feel any surging, so I am wondering if after another leak test if it's just the sensitivity of the gauge. Not really a fan of the digital vs the needle gauges.

Anyway, running about 11-11.2 under boost. Which is exactly what I wanted. Few spots I have to lean up under partial throttle but I'm happy with the upgrades!

Here is a pic of the injector resistor bypass. The Bosch high impedance are a bit noisy then stock if anyone wants to know.

Oh - started to feel the clutch slip a little bit. LW fly wheel and 6 puck disk will be on the list next. Likely going to keep the stock PP, try to be gentle on those stock trust bearings!
