Was an amazing journey, I drove the Maverick the entire Power Tour, Power Steering leak was the only minor problem. Had to get a fitting made in South Bend to tie the brided hoses to the Toyota pump.

What are the odds of this happening again? A pair of blue, Supra Poerewed Fords side by side??? I met Kevin (BoostedPrine) in Racine, WS and we had the opportunity to park them together at the South Bend venue for these photos. Awesome guy with an awesome ride!

Glad to see there were no major hiccups, but it's got the heart of a Toyota now so I expected as much. :)

Looks like it was a lot of fun. You didn't skimp on the pics either.

Thanks, we drove it again last month on the 2010 Power Tour, it was great to get behind the wheel again, but at the same time kind of strange, it was kind of like seeing an old girlfriend again after a year. Here's the Spectre 2JZ Maverick that I built for them last year. Since they brought the car back to California after last year's Power Tour, they have added alot of chassis work to the Maverick. Their intent is to make it a full on road racer, it's now a full tube chassis car with a full roll cage and they also added an air/water intercooler. It definitely surprised alot of people on the Power Tour because it's fairly quiet. It's got an open wastegate on it so when it would come alive, everyone would do a double take, as it walks away from them........like WTF?

It's been a work in progress, but it is turning out to be a really awesome ride............their plan is to have it completely done for October to compete in the Optima Battery Challenge and kick some serious ass.
