My Tein SS coilvers are too stiff for my liking, even on the softest shock setting. Tein USA says I can swap out the existing springs:
16kgf/mm(895lbs/in) front
9kgf/mm(504lbs/in) rear

to this:
14kgf/mm(783lbs/in) front
7kgf/mm(391lbs/in) rear

Any less would require re-valving the dampers. It's hard to estimate from the numbers, but would this change be very noticable?

I come from a land down under
Tek: I'm using 650 fronts and 375 rears and for general use they're lightly preloaded and right on the limit for what I consider "comfortable"

I had the Koni's valved to suit with full soft being a touch harder than Tems Hard and 1/4 turn is just right at high speed.

It's well worth getting them revalved/oil vis changed to suit whatever springs you settle on as it makes an enormous difference in ride quality.
(895/504's must have shook the fillings right out of your teeth)

Thanks for the tip. What is the stock spring rate, just for curiosity?

The factory Tein SS springs feel only slightly softer than the cut coils on my beater Mk2 :) I've got the EDFC controller, and it seems like my choices are "too stiff" or "way too stiff"

Im running with the Tein HA 12k/6k and its borderline stiff for me. Im considering upping the front spring rates to 14K since the wheels keep hitting the top of the fender approaching hills or reaching the bottom of hills. My front isnt even that low.

If you soften the rears up, i believe you will notice a huge difference though. When i installed my fronts Teins, drove around with eibach/tokicos in the rear, and the car rode fairly smooth. I noticed a huge difference when i finally installed the rear Teins. The ride became much stiffer.

I got a quote from Tein to revalve my shocks, and it would be $400 plus shipping. I may as well just buy the Flex's and sell my SS's, its gonna cost me the same either way. Do the Flex's work with the EDFC?
