Tail light mods?

jdms are not tinted darker plastic with same color center section

\/ \/ \/ thats wat you need. pre89's are ugly.

No, JDM's are darker on all 3 pieces. Instead of silver paint on the back of the center section, they use a gunmetal shade and the diffusers inside the tails are tinted.

i know there darker but it doesnt look like there tinted just darker plastic.

I guess I am one of the very few that prefer the pre 89 tails. My car came with 89+ tails on it and I took them of and installed some pre 89s.

im really liking the simple blacked out look... esp. on an all black car... probably the route i'll take... might pick up a spare set and attempt led's later down the road.

blacked out looks awsome, I was going to tint my tail lights, until I came across a complete JZA70 for a parts car. I couldnt bring myself to tint the JDM tails.

At one of my many road side inspections, in my 86.5, the lady cop tolf my my tail lights were to dark to be seen from 1000ft away. So I showed her a video on my camera I had of my car at the race track from the previous week, and asked her if she could see my tail lights as the time and mph showed up. She said yes and I kindly told her that there are 1320ft in a 1/4 mile. After that she just sent me on my way and told me to have fun at the track.

I wounder if with night shade it will be visable beyond 1000ft.
