Anything is possible with enough money and time. It would be extremely difficult to accomplish - adapting the Civic to rear wheel drive would entail a whole lot of work, and adapting the engine to work in a front wheel drive chassis might be even more work - I'm not sure a civic engine bay is wide enough to take an inline six crosswise, and if not, you'd be looking at cutting the body in half lengthwise and widening it.

Why bother?

By the time you adapt all that's needed to do the conversion it's going to weigh about the same as a RWD car that the 7M would bolt into so unless you're get a hard ::dickhead:: over Civics in particular it's a WOT ;)

Ehh just curious, Im sure its doable with the cash but wither the gain is worth it or not it probably isnt. 400whp in the 3700lb supra feels great, want to know what it would feel like in something lighter and still turn some heads.

it's absolutely pointless.. my buddies S13 hatch weighed in at like 2500lbs after he stripped it down, and under the hood was a rebuilt RB25 with a GT40 putting down 450whp. then, he upgraded to Power FC and made 505whp on 93.

when his car was at 450whp, "it would explode into massive wheelspin" - IJ. this would continue into 4th gear (it was ridiculous/pointless).. because of that, the car stayed at low boost (~300whp) most of the time.

another car, an S14a (kouki) was putting down 395whp through an SR with a GT2871R at full weight (~2800lbs), and even it would spin all through 3rd gear.

but, there's definitely a vast difference between a 3700lb supra (mine weighs a hell of a lot less than that) and the weight of a civic.. if I had a choice, I'd want something around 3k-3.2k lbs with full interior. plus, I dunno about you kaze, but I turn my head in the opposite direction whenever I see a civic.

Agreed. Swapping a v8 or s2k drivetrain would be much easier than a i6.

All i got to ask is why??? Its still a honda.
