Well i just sold my 91 Turbo last saturday and its now officially blown up. The only resason i sold it was because he paid me 5000 for it. im so pissed off he said he was racing and that he didnt want to shift because he thought he could beat him...so he took it past seven and held it there untill a belt popped off and there was knocking...now he needs antother engine! but i still got 5g out of it!

wait a minute, popping the belt off would not cause him to get knock. If anything, and he popped the timing belt it would of cut the motor and he would of stalled out.

same goes for the other accessory belts, especially w/ the alt belt. He got knock because he took it into redline what a cockbag. Sameshit happened to my car kid ran it low on oil and it blew up on him and now hes going NA-T.

If the timing belt snapped at 7,000+ rpms, it very well could have damaged the guts. Even being a non-interference engine, somewhere in the high rpms like that, with valve float and whatever, could have busted up some stuff.

Sorry man!!!! That is why selling is so hard when you are attached to a car. No mater who you sell to they will never treat it the way you did.

if hew held it at the rev limiter like that for an extended period the oil pump prolly sucked the pan dry and toasted the bearings, thats my guess. what a fuckin moron, you dont hold any car on the rev limiter under full load for any length of time. thats a sure fire way to fuck something up.

Hey guys c'mon, this kid kid clearly learned the old trick that bouncing on the rev limiter makes you go faster than shifting up a gear...

I agree with GrimJack- Tell him you'll buy it back for really cheap, and rebuild for half the price he gave you.

yeah well what happend was that he said he ws driving it and throttle got stock so he tried to turn it off, but the turbo timer was still going and he didnt know how to turn it off. After it finally turned off, he noticed the tensioner pully was snapped off somehow? and the belt snapped. which has nothing to do with the damage...nothing was soposively wrong with the timing belt. but he went in to get the belt repiared and they couldnt get it to start and the tech told him he would have to rebuild it. so now he is just going to get a new engine and drop it in, sell it, and go buy an s2000. I only drove it for 3 months after my rebuild that i put my blood sweat and tears into and just got done the week before putting the front mount on it that i made custom. It just sucks though to see something that you spent so much tima dn money in to make it look good and clean and its just gone a weeek afte the sale. shit happens though and i offered him 750 for the car so if he takes it ( he was thinking about it) im going to buy it and part the car out or drop a new motor in it...but if i part it out...all the things under my post are for sale!!! (for cheap!) lol ill keep eveyone updated

Don't joke Nate...and right in the middle of my rebuild. Again, sorry to hear about the car.
