I don't have a timeslip to post because my local track is backwoods and the printer is broken.

You can post it, or not.

Other Cars

1979 MK1 Celica Supra
1uz-fe swap with 1992 SC400 Engine
2uz modded tacoma truck headers
alternator is the only belt driven accessory
LS400 Trans with shimmed accumulators and a huge cooler
100 shot wet Zex Kit
Adjustable Upper 4 links with pinion angle moved -2 degrees on a welded diff.
A/C/heater/cruise/some interior(carpet from rear seat foward) gutted from car.
Dual exhaust using 2 MKIV resonators as mufflers
215X60X16 street tires on all four corners

1.95 - 60ft
1/4 mile - 11.76 on spray
mph - 121.60

It went 13.11 on motor BTW.

Post it if ya want, if nobody believes me, thats fine too. We are bringing it to TX2k11 and it might end up in class two, so be ready.

That's a damn fine time, especially on street tires! Are you spraying the length of the track, or only after you're out of the hole?

As for putting you on the list... sorry, I didn't write the rules, and I don't want to step on the toes of the guys who did by messing with a system that appears to be working rather well. I didn't even add my OWN car until I had a time slip scanned and online! Get a buddy to shoot some video... or go to Tx in the spring with some slicks and get booted for running sub 11.5s, with video AND a time slip! :)

Thanks Dave, this was on my reply list.

understandable. I was spraying from about 30 ft out the rest of the length of the track. I cannot leave on the kit on street tires. Actually, I can't leave over 1500 rpm or it will blow them away.

Once its moving a few mph, I can get in the kit and the adjustable 4 link stuff holds the tires to the pavement pretty well.

I am highly considering bringing it to TX2k11, especially after I was unable to race at tx2k10 with the MKIV. Had a popped exhaust gasket and had to limp the car home. I don't have enough cash to be competitive in ANY of the MKIV classes anyway. My MKIV is just not fast at all compared to what is there.

The MKI should do pretty well if they allow me to run it in class 2 though as long as big daddy doesn't show.

And its cool, I'm already on the list 1 time anyway ;)

Dude... I'm lazy. You left out the most important bits... is it a mk1? A mk4? Engine? Transmission? Tires? What lane is your time? I'm sure I could figure all this out if I did some digging, but as I said, I'm lazy. Make it easy for me, and I'll put it up right away. Make it hard for me and I'll pretend I didn't see your post! :D

Just did this 10-16-10. First time in 6+ years running my car with new setup. Car has 1000cc injectors, forged wiseco pistons, and pauter rods. BC264 cams, turbonetics T66, 3 inch exhaust, walboro 255 intank pump, and bosch 044 external pump, stock port head (7mgte). Spearco intercooler upgrade. RPS 3200lbs 6 puck clutch. one piece drive shaft. Haltech standalone EMS. Trans is original R154 never rebuilt. Stock 3.91 Lsd diff. Launch without a 2 step (slipped the clutch and granny shifted-didn't want to break anything). hoosier drag radials 275/65/16 i believe.

Haven't been to the track in a while, but was digging through old reciepts and other "stuff" and came across these.
100_1178..jpg100_1180..jpg

I'm #123, and I eventually pulled a decent 60' at 2.223 and squeezed into the 13's with a 13.98 @ 103.59 mph at 1.0 bar of boost on pump gas. Stock: internals, intercooler, injectors, afm, upgraded 46 trim CT26, Apexi SAFC and AVC-R, 245.40/18 (r) and 235/40/18 (f) street tires, RPS clutch with full face OEM disk. The car was (is) set up for autocross, not drags, and I'm a drag newb so my reaction times SUCK! This is my old setup that is now essentially what is on my wife's car currently. At the time, it was making between 283-285 rwhp and 300-318rwtq, depending on the day and the dyno...

First time ever to a track, and I can probably say I've "launched" any car I've owned maybe a total of 20 times? Needless to say, I'm more a road racer, not a regular at the drag strip (more because of location than choice, damn my living in BFE). I was in the left lane against a nice looking Mk4 from North Dakota in the right. We've both got 12 second cars if we could get our 60' times down around 1.8 or so, but I think I did alright with a 2.1 60'. Anyway, car has a stock 1j bottom end, ported/polished head, BC264 cams, 3" exhaust from turbos back (stock twins @12psi, no boost controller because I couldn't set it low enough to avoid massive fuel cut at ~17psi), and a stock JZA70 airbox (for that awesome 'stock' look ;) ), k/n filter, stock JZA70 intercooler and piping. As for the suspension and tires, it's on Megan Racing track series coilovers set at full soft in the rear (still spins a bit in 1st and chirps 2nd, but good after that), and riding on Nitto NT05's all around, 275/40/17 on Mk4 TT 9.5's. Dyno'd 320rwhp the day before at Wicked HP.

Oh, and for those wondering, YES, I was sleeping at the light. 1.656 reaction time? Good Lord, I feel slow. However, gotta give me a little slack. I was expecting a .500 tree, one that drops lights one after another, not a .400 tree that goes all three yellow at once then green. Totally threw me off, that's obvious enough. :biglaugh:

This was at LVMS for SILV 2010, where I for whatever reason got thrown in with the Forced Induction Sport bracket, and got eliminated in the qualifying rounds unfortunately. However, had I signed up for the bracket category, I would have easily smoked the rest of you Supra guys that were there... I hate to sound like a jerk, but there really is no reason for every Mk3 to run 16's or slower, and all but maybe one Mk4 to run slower than a 13. I guess as long as you had fun, that's what matters, but we all got smoked by a bunch of Hondas. :nono:

I made four passes today. The one with the quickest time also had my worst sixty foot.

R/T................. .594
60'.................1.923
330'...............5.081
1/8................7.639
MPH..............98.74
1000.............00.00
1/4...............11.619
MPH.............125.08

My first pass actually had my best sixty foot, but I never got in the left lane again. My sixty foot was a 1.661 with a 7.543 1/8 and a 11.621 @ 120.35, but I lost traction in third and fourth and had to get out of it. The track got a little better each time, but I got worse for some reason. My scanner is out of commission so I can't scan it. This is more or less just for reference. I was running on wastegate pressure which is 23 psi. My car makes roughly 610rwhp at this boost pressure. I was also running 10.00 afr's on every pass. I'd just tuned it the day before but my methanol kit was dumping an ass load of liquid into my intake. Luckily I didnt hurt anything and I drove it the two and a half hours back home.

This was one of my four runs. All four of them were 11.6xx.......who knew my car was made for bracket racing.

What tires where you running?
Mickey Thompson ET streets. I drove down there and back on them. That's the only tires I run on the back. I keep them on there full time. Until I find another street tire that will hold, that's what I'll keep running.

Sawbladz;1637777 said:
Jay, that's not very fast for almost 6800 hp. ;)

It's not that fast for six hundred horsepower either, but for right now, that's as fast as I've went..........lol

Out of 7 runs tonight at wednesday night drags my best was a 13.858 @ 100.75 MPH with a 60 ft of 2.134

I actually got my 60 foot down to 2.079 but my 1/4 time was slower at 13.983 @ 100.18

So Best run:

60' 2.134
330 5.877
1/8 8.970
MPH 79.52
1000 11.622
ET 13.858
MPH 100.75

My Car: 1988 Supra Original 7MGE (now NA-T) with 140,600k miles Automatic targa

N/A Cams and pistons 9.1:1 Compression
N/A LSD Diff 4.30

CT26 Stock Turbo 9 PSI
Driftmotion 7MGTE FMIC/2.5 Aluminum piping
HKS SSQV
91 Octane gas
Timing @ 10 degree's BTDC
2.5 inch exhaust with catalytic converter
Sawblades with Falken zeix 225/50R 16's (bald like 10% tred left time for some slicks)

This is untuned as I had to send my SAFC Neo in to Apexi to get a re flash done.. My AFR's are 10.3-10.7 under full boost, I think it is a respectable time considering what is done to the car!
