I know this has been covered alot before but I searched "10psi" and got like 2 results...

I just got a nice ball and springs mbc and turned it up to 10psi, and wow I am happy with it,
I am wondering if this isnt too much,
my mods are.

2.5" - 3" dp, custom 3" straight exhaust, k&n fipk.

before I installed any parts I would get a steady 6.5psi, and then after the i&e,
I would get around 8psi, and on cooler days I could get 9psi, and everything seemed fine, I just wanted some reasurance.

( I always run 91oct. )

it SHOULD be ok assuming your injectors and fuel pump are up to par.

id replace your fuel pump though as i had one crap out on me at 10psi and cost me a head gasket...

Yes an Mk4 fuel pump can fit .
IIRC they are like $200-$300 depending on where you live.
The mk4 pump is better than the walbro IMO, but the walbro is a great unit as well.
If you have the money I'd spend it on an Mk4 pump

This is an upgrade I've been looking into a little. The MKIV Turbo pump (Denso 195130-1020) will support 550CC injectors as long as you can get 13V to the pump terminals.

The supra pump draws double the current relative to a Walbro GSS341 for the same flow and so the ability of the stock MKIII wiring to support the pump is a concern that I have. I like the fact that the MKIV pump passes Toyota QA, so it is likely to be reliable over the long haul. The Walbro line is a little questionable in that regard, though I don't see a lot of complaints about their reliability. The Walbro GSS341 draws about half as much current (at 13.5 V, 8A @ 43 psi, 10A @ 70 psi) as the Supra fuel pump.

Lots of good info here
