So my N/A finally blew its headgasket. I've been waiting to go turbo for quite some time now and the BHG was the perfect excuse. I've pretty much got the motor disconected from everything, all I need is an engine hoist and she'll be out.

This coming tuesday(November, 17/09) I am buying an 87 turbo with a BHG but rebuilt bottom end for $400(the whole car for $400 ;-D) the head is already taken off and is not warped so its all good.

I am purchasing a Titan MHG, ARP head studs, and a GReddy timing belt in the next few weeks and will be starting to put the motor back together. Im only shooting for around 300hp at first.

I will be updating with pictures as much as I can but for now all i have is these ones...
(not the greatest pictures but all I have is my cell phone)

Will I have to put the turbo dash into my car since it was N/A?
Could I get away with rewiring things or even just switch out just the tachs?

i dont think you'd have to sway the cluster, cause the only difference really is that it has a boost gauge instead of a volt.

but its totally up to you, are you taking all the turbo parts our of your parts car into yours?

I believe you can just swap the tachs, but as for the boost gauge I'd just go aftermarket. Stock one is really, really slow.

Another option on the tach is to swap the necessary resistors. Either way, you need to pull it.

Yeah all of the turbo parts are being swapped over, I gotta buy a new turbo though. the one that came with the car has tons of shaft play.

Unfortunately my poor red supra has to sit out in the rain till I get the motor out of this one :-(

Motor is ready to be pulled, hopefully I am renting an engine hoist today and I will get both motors pulled and start on the head of the GTE.

The intercooler which i resprayed flat black so it "looks newer"

Everything on the harness is good except maybe one connector that i think goes to the knock sensors...

Hers a picture of the stock CT26 even though it has massive shaft play and is toast lol

Engines are being pulled today and clean-up of the N/A engine bay will start.

This is what my pressure plate and flywheel look like from having a slipping clutch and "clutch kicking" all the time while drifting :nono:

Lots of heat marks lol

I will post up some more pics when I get the head taken off the GTE and also when the engine bay is nice and clean.

It's not getting killed, I'm parting it out. The paint is scratched to shit, the sunroof leaks like crazy and there is rust on the body unlike my 88 which is basicaly mint except for the hatch.

Haha, don't be hatin on my rope lol.
It's all I could find laying around the house, and it only broke once because I forgot to take the tranny mount bolts out and I was pulling on the hoist like crazy lol
