It takes me an hour or less to get the rack loose enough to pull the old bushings out. Most of the hassle is built up grease and dirt.

Do the bushings separate or do you slide them on?

They have a cut through them that allows you to slide them around the rack.
I would put poly rack bushings on there for sure. Make a big differance in steering feel to have the rack nice and tight.

Only ones I've seen so far are RK and from suprasport.
