3 posts in a row. omg!

This may sound dumb.... But does it matter if the relay is on its clip on the body... I checked and it doesnt look like it has anything to do with grounding. or does it?
no its plastic

I tried grounding the white/ green coming from dash and it didn't do anything, but if i ground that same wire but coming from the relay it blows the fuse.

oh yeah when I first started the rewire it did work, at the time the white/green wire from the relay was grounded and the switch was rewired like jeff stated in page one. But as I was putting everything together and switched them back on they didn't come back on and thats when I dicovered the fuse had blown.

all I did is peel the cover off the black/red wire and wrap the red/black wire from the fog switch around it so it would get a 12 volt source. (the black/red wire is the one coming from the cruise switch).

I never cut the wire from the cruise I just used a razor and peeled off the skin so I could rap the wire I did cut from the fogs and rap it around the area I peeled the skin off. (I have no camra)

Okies. Im giving it another go. Where exactly did you ground the white green wire from the relay too? And jsut to set the record straight. You jsut capped the harness side of the white green one off?

Your getting rep for putting up with me.

by the way when you say red/black wire that mean its a red wire with black strip so don't get that one and the one from the cruise which is black/red or black wire with red stripe confused bro.

I'm not capping anything untill it works fine but in a way yeah I just left the white/green from harness just sit there, while the one from the relay is grounded to a nut thats hard too see untill you take off that light blue box which just slides off and out your way.

Hopefully I can get this done when it gets dark. will probably be easier to test!

also on a sidenote. Does the CC switch need to be turned to on for this to work?

right now I'm playing with a relay I found in the garage which will make the inside of my dash not look like someone was cutting and splicing shit, I will be much easier with an extra relay I think. If that dosn't work out for you then I'll show you how to do it with a relay that you can just buy at autozone or something for under 5 bucks maybe.
