Please don't move to the SF thread, as this has more to do with the community than SF.

So people wonder why I don't post over "there". Here is why: Rude fuckers. There are a few threads over there about this that I just found. I've gotten more PMs about these lights than ANY other thing I've done to my car combined, and I've answered most of them the best I could, I also basically told what I did in my build thread, what more can I do for you F'rs that need spoon fed! All they had to do was look at my build thread, or ask me personally, but no they had to bash...good ol SF.

No, I will not walk a dumb ass down a path and tell him every F'n time to take a step, but I will give out the info, and the whole point for me putting up my build thread was to help others out with ideas, but I guess thats not good enough.

Do I need to go wipe your lazy ass too.

For the ones of you not on that site this is the thread starters first post and as the thread goes on it just gets worse. I guess they ended up locking it, but then started up another one. It also included pics taken FROM MY BUILD THREAD where I said they were custom after being asked....for fuck sake!

The first person who can correctly identify the foglights in the picture below will recieve a $10 paypal prize from me.

Why have I created this thread? It personally bothers me when members in this community decide not to share their findings/information with others. I know of many members here that have a gracier front bumper are looking for a foglight that fits well with the bumper, and Im sure some of you have been looking for YEARS! Well it seems one of our supra brothers has found one, but unfortunately is not willing to share.

I can understand the point of wanting to be original, but in this case there are too many of us with gracier bumpers rolling around with no fogs!! lol. Based on this, I feel its my duty to help those who are looking for this information. If anyone would like to add to this pot feel free, Ill start with a $10.00 contribution(and I dont even own a supra, lol) to the one who can correctrly identify these:

Do I come off this way around here:dunno:

Jimi, even if you DID come off that way, that's your choice and they shouldn't try to build up a mob to come and lynch your ass. That's ridiculous - just because they are too lazy to:
1. Look for the information in your thread and
2. Try other light alternatives from a junkyard

..you get to suffer harassment. Personally, I wouldn't have a problem with you if you DID choose to keep your information secret. Everyone should have something that sets their car apart if they choose. Even though I am not Lam's biggest fan, I would be pissed if someone copied his car. Why? Because it would be a total ripoff. There are some people who put body kits, exhausts, intakes, engine swaps, etc in their cars, and somehow end up having identical cars by coincidence, but these guys want to out-and-out copy your hard work, and I think that's bullshit.

Good luck to you and your build - good for you. Don't take crap like that without putting up a fight. Some of these kids need to learn to look for their own information instead of having it spoonfed. This is the same reason hackers hate these push-button script-kiddies; they want to be able to do something without actually learning.

Yeah I just don't get it. I've never seen such a group of ass hats before.

"because he did mods to a supra he must divulge all info". Fuck you!

I'm at the point of just pulling all info off my build thread, but I know there are a lot of people that actually use that info so I won't.

But I will let it known that if I don't want to give out all or any info on something I do...I won't. It's my car, they are MY MODS and I'll do with that info what the fuck I want!

I know there are a lot of good people in this community and I hope this rant doesn't turn anyone away from asking me questions and what not. And thats the real point here, I try to help out and give info on most the stuff I do, but I'm painted like that? :biglaugh:

I'm glad that I'm not a part of that forum. I take a lot of offense when those fuckers say that the mkiii owners are cheap. Fuck that!!! I chose to get a mkiii for a reason. I love being a mkiii owners and being part of this SM forum. And I'll offer any info that I come alone to help out another supra owner no questions asked.

Sorry, I just got kinda heated.

I remember that thread from a few weeks ago. It's pretty ridiculous that some people they think they have a right to know everything about your mods, and some seem to think you should have personally PM'd them and gave them exact info.

i'm glad to see that the people who do have information refused to let it out. the other people who just piss and moan can fuck off. they should do some work for themselves. if you want something unique, build it yourself.

I love all your sounds.
Will you just give me your car Jimi?;)
That way I wont need to burden you with a lot of questions, and also it would save me a lot of time and effort trying to copy your ideas.

Yours was one of the first Build threads I got sucked into. The wealth of info, and sharing is truly second to none.
You can't please everyone.

Yeah, isn't it odd how I "refuse to let the info out" yet 3-4 people replied knowing what was up because they asked me but they were also attacked or ignored. :icon_conf
EDIT: It's also funny that he ended up Paypaling someone that gave the wrong answer :biglaugh:

Dave, yeah we will trade cars, that way I can benefit from your hard work and you from mine :biglaugh:

you should have told them you found them on a 89 escort at the junk yard and you snuck them out in your pants. Send them on a wild goose chase. I mean, if they are to stupid to go pick up a catalouge and look for them selves, they deserve it. Thats a pretty funny thread

I actually kind of saw that coming. I mean, all you would have to do is be convincing with your response, and they wouldn't know if you were right or not.

I second that. I think a lot of the MK4 owners originally purchased that car for obvious reasons, its friggin' sexy as hell, and has very good performance right outta the box. I have much more respect for guys who take a car which has very little aftermarket following (like the MK3) and turn it into a piece of art that can stomp all over much higher priced (sports cars). An example of this is the EV0's they are amazing cars right off the show room floor (any of you who haven't driven one, you are missing out) but to many of them are purchased by wanna be tuners, who wanna look good, go fast, and kick ass, without putting in any of the hard work and ups and downs.

i read that thread. i was like, uh, WTF? it's 100% your choice to let people know what you do. i look at it like this:

YOU spend the time, the money, and the hard work figuring something out. then everyone asks you to tell them exactly how you do it?

everyone keeps asking me to post a writeup on the NSX headlight conversion, but, i'm not exactly sure if i want to. it's a LOT of work, and my car would be that much more unique, ya know? the same scenario as you're in. kindof makes you think...

anyway, i back you up 100% jimi, and don't blame you one bit if you don't spoon feed people. nobody told me how to do the NSX deal. i gotta figure that our for myself, at the expense of possibly destroying the front of my car.... if i knew you hadn't seen that thread, i'd have told you about it. sorry!

Jay that would have been a good one! :biglaugh: But I don't think I would do that to anyone.

Ret I think thats what a lot of them were trying to do :biglaugh:

PTP your sig is perfect;)

Shaeff, you have it all wrong. Once you figure all that out with the lights, you must make a kit, give them out for free, and that way everyone can have the same car as you. JK, thanks!

We can't say were 100% clean, this forum did everything short of dragging bigaaron out into the street and shooting him when he wouldn't tell us how he did a certain part of his COP setup. The circumstances were a little different, but it shows this forum can turn rabid just as easily.

That said, I do see where your coming from, the community on SF has a tendency to be that way naturally.

Yeah this wasn't directed so much at SF or a forum in general, it was more to anyone that is too lazy to do a little work on their own, it just happened to take place over there. In this case all they had to do was ask me or read/search a little.

But it is also a good example of why I don't post much over there. Did you notice he doesn't even own a supra, typical SF wanna-be supra owner starting shit.

Bwahahahah! I just saw this thread. I turned the SF thread into a flame war before they locked it. That thread pissesd me off and I didn't know anyone involved. Pretty clear that this must be the place to be then.
