So I am going to be a freshman in college in 2009 and I was wondering what city do you guys think is the best. I've been to LA and NYC. Nyc is a amazing city yet very expensive. LA is a great city but cheaper than LA. All my family lives on the East Coast so that's one thing that would be a problem if I move to LA. So which would you guys pick? What city is better in your opinion.

lol LA isnt cheap either...not much in Socal is but if i was picking id say LA just for the weather.
My sister went to school in NYC for two years and then moved to LA to finish up school, she loves it there and is glad she moved.
Neither, but if I had to choose it would be LA.
I'd think about places below LA(SD, LB, etc.) or places way below NYC(NC,SC,GA,VA)

I'm going to be taking a long vacation in LA this summer. It'll make it a lot easier to pick. Both are great choices.

it gets HOT in ny in the summer. thats no problem for me though personally i love hot weather.
