You should've bought CLEVITE pistons. I got the stock replacement ones. Shouldn't be hard to find a official retailer in your location. I live in Arkansas at the moment & I found one in Arkansas.

Called lots of major auto parts stores with no luck. Where did You find them and how much? Why are they better?

Crack Thread...... :nono:
(the drug NOT the broken pistons crack...)

"Semi Forged"?? WTF..

"Cracked all 6" IS a tune/fuel issue

"Bad Batch" Not likely as a "Batch" for these guys is probably 10000+ units if this were the case it'd be a well known failure issue.

Detonate an engine and it WILL break the ringlands, only difference between Forged and Cast is how often and how hard you can do this before they break.

you will not find Clevite Pistons at Autozone, Advance Auto, Oreilly, etc. I simply looked up the clevites website & got the retailer from there. Theyre amazingly close to where i live. Mine were Standard size & they were listed on ebay so i just got them from there instead. If you want over size pistons message the ebay seller he will surely know how to get them for you or just look up the nearest retailer on the Clevites website which is

http://www.mahleclevite.com/

& i say theyre good because an old tech told me theyre a good brand But i they must be a stock replacement, theyre definitely not forged, i mean i paid $116. Ive also been looking up main bearings for the 7MGTE & ive read that Clevite bearings are a good option. If you want i can show you pictures of the Clevite pistons.

Ya post up some pics. Hopefully some other that have used them will chime in. I will be going with acl or federal mogul for bearings.

you realize that you have the cams in, with the shims and buckets, and at least 4 open valves with the head sitting on a near flat surface right? It doesnt take much at all to bend a valve.

Could have always spent 300-400 on semi forged probe pistons. But my friend didn't crack a NPR till 21psi on a 60-1 racing a c5 vette

I dont buy it, i already broke two different npr sets at 15psi with my T70, i had it with this car, i have to buy forged again.
