Hey guys, 2 things wrong with my 87. One: No heat, fans work but blows cold air. I would assume the heater core is just bad but I wanted to know if there is anything else I should check before I take out my dash(LAME!:3d_frown:). Two: Power steering whines like a mofo and I would definantly like it to stop. Again probably simple (replace pump) but I wanted to check before spending the cash. Also when I replace the pump, do I need to bleed the system after I replace it to stop air from getting in? Thanks guys!

90% chance it's NOT the heatercore- and that the problem is super-easy to fix. :) Check this thread:

As for the power steering whine, did you put ATF in it? (it's supposed to use Dexron ATF- NOT power steering fluid!) Is it full? Is the screen clogged?

For bleeding it, I always filled the reservoir, started the car, and turned lock to lock a few times with the front of the car on jackstands. Shut the car off, top off the fluid level, repeat until the level stops dropping.

It could easily be your blend door also.

Might be worth it to flush the steering fluid to see if that helps with the noise before you replace anything.
