put a 3sgte in it.

that would make one nasty little miget, but Im sure it would take quite a bit of work in order to get the 3sgte to fit in there comfortably. But that car is definitely in pretty good shape for its age? Did it not come with an interior? or does it look like that because you've stripped it for media blasting.

edit: you know now that Im thinking about it, there is a guy here in cary that builds midget and miata race cars out of his shop. He has done some very very nice work. I talked to him for a bit and he has been obsessed with them for the past 15-20 yrs. They are definitely quite beautiful cars if put together right

fitment for a 3s would take alot of work. anyone know what kind of tranny that would take? since it is rwd and i don't think the 3s motors were offerd in a FR car, just all wheel and RR cars. id love to do it though

other motor options i was thinking of.
-4age
-13b-t
-ca18det

thinking the 4a would be the least difficult.

let me know what you guys think.

edit: yes i stripped all the interior out for some type of blasting, although it didn't havbe a steering wheel.

they had a 3sgte in a mkiv supra body before, I dont remember who did it. It was a gold supra though, so whichever tuning company uses that as their color scheme. So it is possible to convert it to rwd. How easy it would be though? I think it would be quite a serious project

yeah supra store has some pics of that top secret supra with a 3s.

the celica that had the 3s what all wheel drive.i know there is a guy on florida drift that has a 3sgte in his ae86. but he had a custom FFI and what not. now that i think about it if i wanted 3s i might be able to use the tranny from the corolla gt-s.

3S is actually a bulky 4-banger. Believe it or not, the engine compartment of a MR-2 is more cramped with the 3S than it is with a V-6 from a Lexus. I believe the engine used in Turbo Magazine's "MR-6" was a 2.5L 2MZ-FE, and it fit the car better than the stock 3S-GTE.

My friend's dad has one for his race car. He hasn't taken it to any events for probably 7 or 8 years now, but the previous owner took home quite a few trophies. 1200 lbs, 300hp out of a NA 1.3L.

Funny thing is, Kyle's dad is 6'4". bahaha.

well, 300hp out of the 1.3. thats crazy. if i kept any of the MG engines it would be the engine from an MGB since they are a 1.8. although im leaning more towards a 4ag. something with no turbo, but still has the capability of adding one later...if i change my mind. but 3s is next up to bat after the 4a.
