yea so i was going to a local sports pub (winghouse) with some friends and they were in a different car and my brother was on his buell motorcycle, so naturally i was driving like a jack ass. anyways, im going down the road, doin about 60 in a 45 when i see a new mustang in my rearview mirror, he keeps inches up then he floors it and gets a head start so i floor it and at first he barely gets in front of me then i catch up and pass him. i win. then he does that same crap again with getting a head start and passing me, but this time he waived like he beat me, so i catch up, again and go past him.

this proves my theory that lots of people suck, and know little about the correlation between distance, acceleration, time and velocity. they think they beat you when in reality they didnt.

if you have to cars spaced 100 feet apart (one 100 ft in front of the other) and they both start from 50 mph and the first car reaches 100 miles per hour and the other is still 100 ft behind him, then the car in the rear is faster. WHY? because a car travels more distance at higher speeds in a certain time than at slower speeds. so lets say instead of 100 ft, we say 5 seconds behind him, at 100 mph it wont be 5 seconds to travel 100 ft, it will be 2.5 seconds. so the car in the rear is fast yet it appears to a moron or a mustang driver that the car in the rear isnt as fast because it is still behind.

from a stand still i wouldve raped him anyway, our cars are more torquey than high powered at high rpms.

yeah, i edited your post. you'll see where. no need for that crap. i know lots of cool mustang guys. posting that they're all <insert explicative here> is just plain stupid, and according to your signature, stupid is as stupid does. ;)

i do so believe, sir, that you just owned yourself.

Good kill... I don't know about all the other shit you said, but the real proof to me is a lined side by side, see that avatar over there to the left. Thats the only side most people on the road driving ever see of the supra(not just mine). Our mk3's have alot of power up top which suprised me when i first drove one. I don't really consider mustang GT's to be alot of competition, but a kill is a kill. I've beat 2 mustangs with my supra and I enjoyed beating them as much as any other domestic or import. Hey drew, did you hear about the police chase I don't know if it was on the news. Someone stole an S2000 from someones house, it was modified not sure what was done to it, but he ran from lexington to georgetown or something like that.
*Edit* OOps missed a post. Didn't see your mods listed. Hehe pulling on a brand new stang in 11+ year old car in almost stock condition is awesome.

Sorry to be a pain, but this statement is wrong, at least in the context that I'm assuming. Situation: BOTH cars are running at 50mph, and they are 100ft apart, and both start accelerating at the same time. In, say 10 seconds, if the distance between the cars is still 100ft, this means that both cars accelerated at the same rate, and are currently at the same speed, although 100ft apart. Meaning: none is faster than the other.

My 2 cents. Literally.

I don't won't to start an arguement between you and jamesdem, but what you said makes more sense, but I'm not a physics major. I'm just a carpenter with a degree in architectual engineering. ( sorry, one quarter short) I may be missing something, but it wouldn't surprise me none. I'm getting a headache thinking about the two cars going backwards at 100 mph, fifty feet apart while reading a tuner sport magazine............lol

The Juggernaut has my old
nice kill. especially at almost being stock.

but watch out for the modded mustangs there pretty quick..

87candybluet what do you mean you dont consider mustang gt's much competition. there are alot of stangs out there (though not in stock form unless its an cobra, 03/04 cobra or a saleen and theres a few others) that can handle a supra. but i love both cars supra and mustang... you cant underestimate either car because you never know whats done to them some can be run down peices of crap and some can be very fast and in great running condition....

but honestly i didnt think much of mustangs either until i bought mine and seen how fast they can be with little done to them. and how they respond very well to every mod. my car with what little is done to it is already quicker than my supra at 9.5 psi deleted cats ,k&N fipk, and electric fansand in great running order.

I'm thinking the same way acetmi is... Unless Jamesdem meant they started 100ft apart, and ended right next to eachother? But the way he described it. Both cars are the same distance.
Good kill I guess... confusing, but good.
