In effect, wouldn't that restrict your exhaust to 2.5"? It does give me an idea for my n/a's exhaust, though...

Going from smaller to bigger(2" header tubes to 3" exhaust to 3" muffler) would be okay, but going from larger to smaller would put a restriction on the exhaust.

Not bad looking, though. I believe Borhor has something similar in looks on his car.

You mean like my old idea except true dual exhaust:

Sadly I couldn't find any in 3" and well I had to scrap the entire plans for that car of mine.

I might have figured it out, I was looking at the 240 exhaust. from the downpipe you can run a 3" pipe to a magnaflow 3" single inlet/3" dual outlet muffler, then 2 3" pipes to 2 canisters. Anyone know how much that would cost, seems to be pretty simple.

Not unheard of... it's one way of battling the cooling air becoming denser as it moves toward the end of the tract. Ideally, the pipe would actually be conical. You don't want to move in big steps either. More steps of much smaller increments. ;)

It branched off into 2 x 2.5" pipes.

Hack the 2.5" part off, and weld a 3" part in like Raptor Racing does to their mufflers...
