HMMK. ever since i pulled my engine apart, i can't find where these 2 plugs seem to go..

p1270005hs7.jpg

this one is located under/near the intake manifold, i think it just might be for a turbo car b/c i could NOT find where it was supposed to go

this one on the other hand goes near the oil filter, i'm dead sure it goes onto this little spot (where the boot fits perfectly), but the little nub that the female plug goes onto is gone (i'm pretty sure this is for the oil pressure sensor or something)

what should i do if it did fall off and i've got nothing for it to plug onto?

2nd one im almost positive is oil pressure sensor..and that could just be the little boot/cover thing that covers where it actually plugs onto. as for the first one... im not so sure.

OH, maybe the 1st plug i posted is for TEMS? i don't see why they'd put a part for a turbo car on my nonturbo harness, and TEMS is the only thing i could think MIGHTTT be it

anyone?

Dude please solder those wires together.

Solder + heat shrink tubing will make it so you never have to worry about those wires coming apart or corroding.

Just using those crimp on connectors is just asking for trouble.

There is not male "prong" for that sensor - it is sort of like a button that you have to slide the plug sideways over. Look at the plug and then the oil pressure sender long enough and this should become apparent.

i have TEMS on my non turbo... lol

lol no no i know that non turbos have TEMS, that's why i was thinking maybe it was for TEMS; i forgot about me not having ABS, so that solves why i couldn't find where it lead to

Tell me your joking. :nono:

i've been told that i SHOULD solder it, but never that it was necessary; basically what i'm hearing from you guys. i'm planning on wrapping the twisted part of the wire with zipties to better hold it together for now, i'm going NA-T hopefully in less then a few months or so, and i don't need this harness to work for much longer.

i can get away with it for now, especially with the zipties, no?

Dude soldering is easy, go to pepboys or autozone or wherever and get a cheapo soldering iron and your on your merry way. A little practice and you'll be golden. Plus you need to be able to solder (for God sakes).

Seriously, butt connectors suck. Vibration or a slight tug or both will always result in the thing comming apart. And if (God forbid) it's something + it could short out a bunch of stuff, and now you really got a problem.
