Hey Everyone, I have a oil leak . I Know that the real main seal is bad . Their are others that I cannot find. It has to be a substanitial one because I got the oil Changed a few weeks ago and it was low enough to make the vavle train go klackty klack. I just did a HG job all the usually things involved in that and am know running 8psi . Also just put in the 264 cams. No codes in Ecu . Just wondering what the "usuall" leak spots are so I can get a place to start thanks Matt

First off, make sure it is always full of oil. Let it sit overnight on a clean surface, or at least under the engine. Then just see where the oil is dropping from and try to figure out about where on the engine.

I would really be paying close attention to that motor if you ran it that low on oil. You may have to repair more then the leak...

Front and rear main seals, valve cover seals, cam seals, oil pump driveshaft seals, dipstick tube seal, and block to timing cover seal.

Oh, and lots of the old oil cooler hoses tend to leak, and while you are at it, you might as well change the CPS O ring as well.

DO NOT! pressure wash ur engine bay. use a degreaser and a tooth brush.

like grimjack stated: main seals, valve covers, cam seals. start with those, those seals/gaskets are relatively cheap too. and the CPS o-ring. all cheap parts that can be done mostly all together at the same time on a saturday.
