If you guys didn't know, the President recently finalized a huge nuclear deal with India. It's supposedly the biggest civilian nuclear deal ever agreed upon between two countries.

I believe he was in India for a total of four days, most of which he spent in New Delhi. On the last day of his trip he went to Hyderabad to talk to some Indian officials there-not exactly sure who they are.

Both Air Force Ones flew into Hyderabad Int'l. within 15-20 minutes of each other-the second of which the President was on. At that time I didn't have a good place to see what was going on but shortly after landing he took off in a H-60 helicopter (see pictures) and our squadron was there to support that mission. One of our planes took off with both H-60s (he needs a back-up) as their support and three of our planes went directly to the landing zone, to the best of my knowledge. I think there were two stops that they made so that he could go and have his meetings and such.

In the end, the entire mission went quite smoothly and our planes cooperated greatly with the exception of one of them having an electrical component take a dump.

I've got a fair amount of pictures so I'll include them.

I don't know if any of you have seen the black armored Suburbans that the Secret Service, etc., etc. use when they're escorting the President, but I actually got a short ride in one at the airport on my way back from taking pictures of Air Force One.

I was just walking back down to where I was working and one of them stopped about 20 yards in front of me and the driver (no passengers) asked if I wanted a ride. I kept walking, figuring he was talking to somebody behind me. When I didn't hear anyone answer I asked, "Me?" I think he got a kick out of that and I got in. He was a really nice guy and asked me how the trip was going for us and whatnot. Yup, that's about it, but it was pretty cool to ride in such an important government vehicle.

The Indian guy in the first picture asked if he could wear my sunglasses for his picture in front of Air Force One. After that there were probably 2-4 other guys that wanted to do the same thing. If I had more space on my memory card I would've had pictures of all of them. That's some funny shit!

"...have all the fun...?" You're kidding right? LOL! There are pros and cons to being in the military. Sometimes you absolutely hate it and sometimes you feel like you're in a damn movie because it's so cool. I try to keep a level plain and not let stupid shit get to me as best I can.

Damn! I should've inluded the fact that there were pics of the President that I took in the thread title. This isn't drawing much attention.

Not to be confused w/ PITASS...or Pain In The Ass...well, depending on your political standing it may be the same thing. ;)

That's cool, My best friend is in the Air Force now...he hasn't spent more than a month in the U.S. in like 3 years. First was deployed to the Middle East, then went to Korea and now is in Italy.

The first two pics are of the resort we stayed at for most of the trip. Yeah, it looks nice, but we all had so many problems with that place. From power outages to no hot water and/or no water pressure to leaks and just plain lack of structural integrity-we experienced it all.

The last pic greatly illustrates the quality of construction in India. It's a long, pains-taking process to achieve perfection. ;)

Pissing on the side of the street in India is a normal occurance. Maybe that's why the streets smell like old piss. I know I kind of went out on a limb there.

#2 and 3 are the view out of a buddy's window at the second hotel we stayed at.

#4 shows you how clear the sky is there. It's like a bad day in San Bernardino every day in India.
