Did you see this thread?
http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62838

There's a diagram in post #4. In your diagram, the T-stat should be between both lines leading to the cooler. The above thread also has a narrative on routing the lines.

The T-stat your proposing to use is mediocre at best...here is a much better one:
http://www.racerpartswholesale.com/category/Mocal_Remote_Oil_Thermostat

Yes, it's a lot more expensive, but the Mocal is top quality and includes the AN-10 fitting built on to the stat.

I didn't see this thread, I saw another but the "Paint" picture was confusing, the one in post 4 is simple, thanks.

And thanks for the heads up on the t-stat.

I've been using the Permacool T Stat for a few years now and agree with JDub it's functional but NOT the highest quality, I recently upgraded to the Mocal unit, it's double the weight and industrial grade ;)

Gotcha, if I went with the Permacool it would be temporary because of my tight budget currently, plus I gotta match up my Mocal oil cooler with it. :)

Yep, I've got a Perma-cool thermostat myself.

Jeff, as you see in the pic -
Oil&

you want to have the thermostat BEFORE the oil cooler, so that the oil only goes to the cooler when the proper temperature is reached.

Use crimped;)

You can buy bulk hose and fittings from a hydrualic hose store and cut and fit to length on your car, then label all and take back to the store to have them cleaned out and crimped.

As far a the T-stat is it just stength and fittings why the Mocal one is better than the Permaco. Im curious, and am running the PC unit right now myself.

I'm having trouble finding -10an push lock fittings. The ones I found on Summit didn't list their size.

Surprised they're really common!

I prefer pushlock as I can make the hoses here and replace them if needs be, been using pushlock for 25+ years and have NEVER had a hose of joint fail.

Good to hear that. I was also curious of the same, since I am putting together components now to do this.
