This is not my hood (CFX) as the underside is pretty rough.(no offense) Mine are tagged as mentioned and have a special latch that will come off to facilitate easier install.

Ian, I can't tell if your kidding or not even though you're winking, but I love his car. I think the shiny black looks better than the cf, but I've come to realize my opinion doesn't account for much....................:biglaugh:
I would paint it to match as well just not a thicklayer of paint so you can seill see the carbon fiber "texture" underneath the paint.

Hells: There isn't any "texture" on the outside they're smooth clear so you can see the weave underneath but not feel it!
I’m kind of disappointed it’s not a CFX hood because the seller told me it was. Oh well, I should have asked for better pics of the underside before I bought it. I was just excited I was able to find a carbon fiber hood for the MKIII because they are almost impossible to find now. Again, you guys need to see it in person because it looks so much better and the carbon fiber is more subtle. See you guys at the Vegas meet.

PS: I should also point out that my prices will have to be higher guys. The price in CF will be much higher.
NOOOO.... i have always wanted one and if the price goes up i may be out of luck forever :dunno:

They are currently 665. They may go up to as much as 800 (maybe a lil less but will depend on how much I get the CF.
