Just finished rebuilding the transmission.... and the engine is in the machine shop...

Engine is getting....
-Bore .020" over
-Wiseco coated forged pistons
-ARP hardware everywhere
-Rods resized
-Polishing crankshaft journals
-Oil pump driveshaft bushings after hot tanking
-Shimmed oil pump
-Skim block surface
-Skim head surface
-Cometic MHG

Then once I finish paying for all of that goodness.... going to go with the LEXafm/550cc combo with a AFPR and an upgraded(57 or 60 trim, idk yet) CT26. :naughty:

Then I am going to need a better life insurance policy :nono::nono::aigo:

Hopefully will have it back on the road within about 1.5-2 months.

My hold up now is painting the engine bay, and waiting to get the trans back from the guy rebuilding it with all the wonderful Marlin Crawler stuff

I don't think I will get around to painting the rest of the car this year, but there will be lots of primer involved lol

Waiting for my gaskets and new braided AN-8 oil crossover hose, need to decide on which MHG I want to buy (damn they are expensive$$$)

My parts should be here tomorrow, then need to finish building the shortblock with oil pump and other good ish like that.

every nice day is making me realize how much of this summer the celica is going to miss :(

A tiny bit more progress....

put on the oil pump, front cover, water pump, and AN-8 line for the oil crossover

Also if you look in the background of the pic you can see some more bodywork has started, but just to fill a few door dings so far.

So after letting the paint dry more.... its definently green, like seafoam green, or homo mint green.

was thinking about just leaving it.... but, I would rather do it right the first time.

Well, I already went to the paint store and got some new paint....

Paint color is from a 2008 Scion Tc, its called "super white"

I scuffed it back town, degreased it again for goood measure, tack clothed it... and then mixed up the paint and laid it down.

This time it turned out even better than the first time! It looks amazing, and it's actually white!!!

Before(first time I painted it "white") looked like seafoam green, looked a lot more green in person

After(08 scion tc white)

Superwhite IV fits that car SO WELL. I want it, just with a stock twin 2jz and an auto.

Car needs wheels though, looks like a basic 5 star would suit it! (something like a prostar)
