I seen awhile back that somebody was using a 2j ignitier on thier 7m. Is this a mod that is worth putting on my car?

It was likely dual MKIV ignitors, in an effort to run a C.O.P. setup using 1jz coils. bigaaron made it work that way, if I remember correctly.
No, it's not worth it. If you're interested in worth-while, aesthetically pleasing, and fully functional ignition modifications, you should check out this link:
