The plan: Keeping it mostly stock for now, to get everything fabbed up (motor mounts, tranny mount, driveshaft, shift linkage, etc) then ill start modding it after its broken in.

The only mods now is, edelbrock 650 cfm carb, performer intake, msd cap/rotor, accel points delete, msd ignition, and it already was bored .040 over along with headers i find to fit in the supra

Finally found a doner for my supra, a 350 and a th350 tranny. Picked up a '78 Chevy Pickup for $300 It has a Dana 44 front axle, a dana 60 12 bolt rear, and a np203 transfer case that im selling to make the money back and rebuild the motor.

Sweet header, only one

Me and albert have spent alot of time sand blasting things. And spent Christmas eve together...... ;) sorry Carlos.

Picked up some goodies, edelbrock 600cfm carb and "permormer" intake for $100. The intakes performance is definately in the weight alone compared to the cast pos.
Also got and alternator relocation kit, made it down low instead of on top definately looks better, along with adjustable linkage brackets from lopers.
Ordered a oil cooler housing on eBay mated up with the cooler I picked up from Jason.

If any places were open it would be done, I just need to lap the valves but no one is open to get lapping compound till Saturday :(
need to paint one more head.

teaser

heres some videos

first one starting, timings not set, vacuum lines off, centrifugal advance sticking open and cyl 5 not firing.

now, everything fixed. timing at 6* advance, valves adjusted, vacuum lines hooked up, sticking advance fixed, have to fun the crappy valve covers to flip the headers up since they wont fit down with the engine cradle.

need to get headers like this, something from a newer chevy pickup ive been told.
the headers on the engine now are just to start it.

and then as far as the rest of the exhaust back, i havent decided yet. i have to choices
1. having dual 3in exhaust all the way back coming out the rear bumper
2. coming back, and then exiting in front of the rear tire

looking legit..what made you go the 350 route...?

drag car,

being bored and wanted to do something new since mostly everyone is doing JZ's now these days. plus it was a good deal for the motor and seemed challenging since i've only seen probably 2-3 350 swaps, and only liked one of them the others were a complete nightmare.

plus i love super clean engine bays like how my 1j was

i'm hoping for atleast 13's on street tires as long as it hooks, seems reasonable since the car is completely gutted sound deadening too, bucket seat, and has suspension and bushings.

In the long run 10s after ive built the motor up. i would love a single digit pass that would be sick.

but i have no clue. 350's had anywhere from 175hp-almost 400hp stock. the motor that came out of the pickup wasnt the original motor so i have no clue what heads, cam, intake, or carb was on it to know which motor it actually came out of.

i have 2 out of 4 solved since i put an edelbrock intake and carb on.

second, im sure the torque convert is stock but you never know. its super clean so theres always the possibility its i higher stall, same with the tranny whats done to it.

Nice build you have here. More and more people seem to be talking V8s in Supras. It is about time. I bet your engine weighs no more than a 7M with turbo/intercooler setup.

i think you would be defienlty capable of 13s when you do go to the track make sure you have footage of your runs id like to see them.... :biglaugh:
