i need some help. looks like my timing map was prolly fine. did more tweaking. same crap. all the info is here.

some reason im loosing the rpm signal, but only under boost and when it cuts out under boost it will not come back if im at full throttle until i let off the gas, then the engine runs again. its wierd. when not in boost it runs fine. no issues at all. its edis 6 so idk what would cause the rpm sig to be lost only under boost. it worked fine when i was running 20psi back in feb with t cold out before i blew the hg. no wiring changes at all. when i built the harness i soldiered everything and heat shrinked it etc.. no loose connections anywhere.

Hey pimptrizkit, could you share the info you found on using the cps? I would love to go that route but Im just not finding enough clear info (ex. what board/firmware combo would be best). Actually, let me correct that statement...I am finding lots of contradictory opinions. HELP!

"50. Next you need to make a decision. There are two input circuits for the tach signal:

The Hall/optical/etc. circuit takes the square wave input from a Hall sensor, optical sensor, or points. It can also be used for triggering off the coil (but only if you are not controlling ignition timing).
The VR circuit takes the AC signal from a variable reluctor sensor and converts it to a square wave for use by MegaSquirt. "


basicly, you'll make 2 vr circuits.

thats the information i have picked up so far, sounds like it works, i just haven't tried it.

hey i was looking into building one for a soarer 1jzgte and was wondering if the mega-squirt was a good system for the 1jz and are there different coil and injector harnesses to buy or are they universal as far as the mega-squirt plug and play harnesses are concerned
