Like alot of you guys, Im doing a 2jz swap into my car. For my swap I need to weld in the pull style clutch fork to run the clutch setup Im looking at. Can anyone with a 1jz/r154 bellhousing off the car measure from the engine mating surface to the 2 bolt locations where the clutch fork pivots at?

Thanks.

Had a friend come over today with a 1j in his Bimmer, and was able to get a really good eyeball, and looks to be 5.5 to 5.625 inches. Just about perfect for the swap.

Good to hear you got it figured out. :)

What sort of setup are you looking at running in your car (clutch wise) if you don't mind my asking?

Sorry for the delay in responding. Today I did some tweekin and got it all just about dialed in. I should start an intro thread, but I have a Volvo 940 that I worked over a 16 valve motor that made 568/481, modified T56 tranny and an 8.8 rearend. The motor lost a cylinder sleeve on the Dyno and I lost it big time. So Im doing a 2jz swap! Before the engine heads to the machine shop, Im adapter my T56 onto the 2j and wanted to rid it of the internal slave (as I had problems with it in the last setup). So I adapted the T56 with the auto bellhousing and fixured it all up with the pull style stock 1j clutch setup. I was able to mount the fork pivot to the adapter plate, but cannot run the stock slave. So a hole in the oilpan/bell area was cut today so I can use a pull style slave from Wilwood. A slight lower pan mod will need to be done to make room, but the hard part is over and I got it all mocked up today.

All the pics are just mock up stuff, the adapter will be 1/2 inch 6061 soon.

And Ill be running Competition Clutch stage 4, 6 puck with there 14lb 1j flywheel.

HAHA, its a sedan! Its a total sleeper. Only give away are the 4 wheel Wilwood disc brakes. With a T4 6262 the car made 476whp at 20psi and the one time we made it to 27psi we made 568whp on gasoline/water-meth

Yes, Volvo redblock B230ft with the B234f 16v head swapped on. I pioneered alot of the things on the motor and most everything was a one off. It had a stroked forged crank for 2.5L, h beam rods and forged pistons. 2mm over valves, behive and titanium retainers, 272 cams, my own header and intake with a divided 6262 all through a T56 and Ford 8.8. I was able to fab on a DSM cas sensor and was running a complete 1g ecu and harness that I got from a 91 Eclpise. I then tuned it with ECMLink as a complete stand alone.

I had verted engine from the standard 20* tilt, had a crank scraper, custom alum pan with a crazy oil feed system right off the pump, out the pan to the oil filter/thermstat/cooler area. Car was really fun to drive and made enough tq at 2400rpm that I could cruise in 6th at 75mph and get just over 30mpg!

Nathan, that car (despite it's lack of wagon-ness) is badass. Should start up a build thread in the Other Cars section in Off Topic!
