Look what I found

Well finally decided to tear the 7m apart due to a blown head gasket. Here's what I found :

Looks pretty clean considering I never rebuilt it before.

Looks more like corrosion where coolant leaked into the cylinder. Is this where the BHG occurred?

Not too sure if thats where the BHG occured. When I took the head off it seemed as if it was not properly torqued. There wasn't any sign of the gasket falling apart. I don't know though. I'll put up more pictures later.

That looks more like impact damage than corrosion to me.

It definitely doesn't look like the piston *I* burned. That was a smooth radius with a rough texture on the edge of the piston and valve cutout.

And dude, put on shoes. Steel toes in the garage will make you a MUCH happier guy in your old age. If I hadn't been wearing them, there would literally be no toes on my right foot anymore.
