is it worth parting out a rebuilt 7m from last year or sell as whole

Price for the engine would depend on your area in my opinion. Best way to sell it quick would find other motors that are for sale and price it similarly.
I feel the best way to sell a rebuilt engine for a good price is to leave it in car. This way the potential buyer can drive the car to see there are no problems with rebuilt engine. I am always leary of buying a "just rebuilt engine for sale" If it is just rebuilt why not use it is my theory. Or don't you trust your rebuild? A rebuild with a year driving and 8 to 10 k miles with no problems is the engine I would want to buy. Not some ones crap shoot rebuild that has never run. Doing a swap does kind off make since. IMO Good luck.
