I can get it easy, but now I got another question...

Would it be good in a MKII with a 5M? The TSRM specs are asking for FAR thicker oil...

Keep something in mind about GC...it is not a thin oil at 100 deg C. It's viscosity is 12.2 cst at ops temp, ~ 20% thicker than most 0W or 5W-30 multigrades. Plus, the specs for the older motors do not consider the modern oils. It will work great in a 5M...I run it in my 5M Cressida ;)

Pep Boys is running a special on Castrol Syntec. Buy 5 quarts + PureONE filter for 21.99 after 5$ mail in rebate. Even without the rebate its 28.99 for 5 quarts + PureONE filter.

If anyone has problems getting this stuff, I'll be happy to pick some up and ship it off for ya for a very minimal charge. Just enough to cover shipping really.

How Long is this going to last?

Thats pretty good. :)

What are the specs for each car?

I'm pretty sure it will be fine for the 3VZ (I run it in my R22 truck), but Hondas tend to run a thinner oil.

Every month is a new oil deal. It usually alternates from Pennzoil to Castrol but for some reason, last month was Valvoline and Mobil with Purolator filters. Next month it'll be safe to assume that we'll have the Pennzoil/Fram on that deal.

But who knows, Pep Boys has changed immensely in the past month. And right now, in my area, there are crazy deals on generators because we aren't carrying them anymore. Coleman 6275 watt generators are $129.00 for example.

In that case, GC will work just fine...better actually due to the low temp characteristics.

just to further confirm the pep boys current sale- i just paid $4.30/qt @ my local pep boys. there's no limit on the sale price, but there is a limit of 2 for the $5 mail-in rebate if you buy a purolator oil filter with the oil. in other words- GO BUY 10 CASES NOW! ;)

just to reiterate, 0w-30 German Castrol on my 7M-GE will be fine..?

I'm running 10w-30 synthetic right now, and I just picked up 6 quarts (got an extra, just incase)...

RazoE - Read the Motor Oil 101 link in my sig and read this:

If you're thinking that the 0W makes the oil "thin", that is completely incorrect...especially in the case of GC. The 0W is the cold viscosity of the oil; the ability of it to flow at engine start. You simply cannot get an oil that is too thin at cold temps...in GC's case, the cold viscosity is 6 times thicker than what it is at 100 deg C (ops temp).
