Yes it will fit, but you will have to trim the hood latch bracket... Also, you will have to figure out what to do about an over flow tank for your radiator... Here is a pic of mine, you can see how I mounted it with welded on tabs... I can get you pics of the hood latch bracket if yuo need it...

why do u need that big of an intercooler, how much power are u going for. if your not going for over 600hp i would stick with a 3''. but it's all up to u

I think in his build thread he was going for 700.

Here are some pics of mine, it's the 3" thick one, but the 4" would bolt up just the same (I will probably go bigger in the future). The 4" thick one will have a greater pressure drop (more lag with the same size turbo) than the 3", but I don't know by how much.

Will this lead to turbo lag if your not making over 600hp?
No. It has no bearing on the turbo's response. Too big of piping probably will slow down the intake track at some point.

I come from a land down under
Changing from W2A/2.5" pipes to 24x12x4" thick A2A/3" pipes dropped my spool 1>200 rpm without the EBC and 300 rpm with it.

Gilsdorf: How do you figure MORE pressure drop with the larger core? :wtf:

My Bad, Ian.
I just read up on intercooler theory and what I thought was right was wrong. Pressure drop is more about the restriction in the core not the volume of the core. There I go talking out my ass again.

Ok so long as I have good flow there should be no "lag". I have a Q45 TB was debaiting on what size intercooler to get. I knew I was getting a 3in inlet/outlet with 3in pipe but some one told me that all that was going to take a lot of time to fill up and create pressure.

Unless you are shooting for +20 psi and +600 HP you're wasting your time with ANY IC piping over 2.5". You want to keep the flow as close as possible to critical velocity to be efficient. It's going to be hard to do that with 3" piping if you are daily driving the supra. 2.5" piping should keep in in critical velocity in the meat of your powerband if you don't go any higher than 20 psi.
