So, Id like to add some guages to my NA just to keep better tabs on everything. I want water temp and possible oil temp also. However, I have no idea how to begin lol.

Where do the sensors for water and oil temp even need to be placed? Ive seen oil filter relocation kits with adapters for sensors, is that a good way to go? Ive been considering filter relocation anyways or is there an easier way for the oil sensor?

I think an inline adapter for an oil line (such as that on a relocation kit) is the most accurate... well that or drilling and tapping an oil passage in the block. As for coolant temp, I think the best location would be in the thermostat housing before the thermostat.

So the best bet is going to be drilling for both of them then. I was hoping to avoid drilling but oh well ha. Now that I got my na running so nice its worth the effort.

When you get def answers, let me know. I someday want to pull apart my gauge cluster and replace the oil pressure and coolant gauges with aftermarket ones, and kinda fab up a cluster. Might just do em all custom, but I too am wondering about coolant and oil, the tach and boost ones are pretty easy

The other option would be pulling the stock sensors and putting the new ones in those locations.

I love all your sounds.

I did this in my build thread. The link is in my sig. I didn't do the tach, but the rest were not too bad. I still need to do the fuel gauge, but Autometer is just making the one I need right now.
Hope this helps.

I agree with the coolant location. There is plenty of room and that part is squared up also.

Good call on that cre.
