NA cams give a little more bottom end but don't do so well up high, from what Kyle and Jon have said. Bigger cams (such as 264s or 272s) will make more power

Someone did a dyno of both kinds of cams on the same engine, with the NA cams he lost power.

This is no longer thought of as an upgrade. It was always just speculation anyways...but not anymore.

It's the intake cam that's different, not the exhaust. The NA cam gives more power down low, but chokes out up top, like I said earlier. More power under the curve, less total power.

Great meet!

Anyone that wants to convert their numbers from the dyno into dynojet or dyno dynamics numbers, try this
http://to4r.com/calcs/enginecalc.php
Just type in the boost you were running and the power you made and hit crunch it

Everyones numbers are off too. I noticed on my printout that I made 427.3hp at 5350 rpms, but 200 at 6400 rpms. Another supra guy at the meet thought this was odd too and called his friend that runs a dyno. He said their dyno was not set up correctly. The 427.3 was the intial peak and should have slowly risen all the way up top redline.

Also, I happened to do 2 exact runs, one in 3rd and 4th.
3rd gear 368.6hp
4th gear 427.3hp ( same boost and heat soaked )
I'm pretty sure mine was the only car to do a 4th gear run.

my little vid of my dyno lol

maybe i was drowned out by the starters that needed to be engaged every 5 seconds... ?

The guy killing the car backing it down the hill was the highlight of the day for me.

yea, who the hell stalls a car going down the hill? That's like falling up the stairs...it's just not possible but somehow they do it.
