I've recently been trying to diagnose the slop in my drivetrain. It is a little bit troubling since both my R154 and rear end have been rebuilt (less than 1000km ago) and my driveshaft centre bearing is new. I checked out the driveshaft u-joints and they have minimal torsional play as well. I then checked my axles. Low and behold, the inner joints on both axles have a significant (to me anyhow) amount of torsional slop. Is this normal, or should they be tight? I have a feeling I know the answer, but I just wanted to hear opinions from some others. These axles have approximately 250k km on them.
Anybody else replace the inboard joint assembly?
Thanks,
Adam
