I don't know if this is just in my area

but I have noticed the MKIII coming up in popularity. Just today I saw five just in the 2 or 3 mile radius I drove in today!! That may not sound like alot compared to the millions of civics and camrys I saw today, but I can remember when I first started researching the MKIII and after I purchased one, I could go a week or two without seeing another MKIII. I see way more MKIIIs than MKIVs now. This scares me and excites me at the same time. I am scared because my MKIII kind of flys below the radar with cops around here because ricers don't know about them and don't do dumb shit with them!! I am excited about it becuase it may show some of the big name companies (HKS, Greddy, AEM etc.) that there is a market for these cars and produce some quality parts for us. Anyway I was just wondering if this is going on all over or I may just be noticing them more and more since I own one. Any opinions or comments please chime in!! Thanks for listening!!

Well there's deffinately not any in our area. My wife and I have two of the three that are in our County, that we know of. There is a white 89 turbo hard top that a man owns in Jasper. He also owns three MR2's. He drives his supra everyday though. When I go to Jasper I have to go right by the motorcycle shop he works at and his supra is always there. I wish we had more around here, but we don't. There are a couple guys from here that live around Birmingham, but I hardly ever get to see them. There not on here as much any more either.....................lol

The only ones in my area are down... there is a woman who works at my store, i have yet to figure out who it is exactly, but she has a mint 91 black turbo... the car is sex and i want it soo bad. It is the only supra running in my area...

Im curious to know how many mk3s of the ~100k built, have been crushed? Gutted? and actually still on the road. I see like 3-5 part out threads everyday... and im sure theres alot of owners that arent on the forums.

let's see...within 30 miles of here (30,000 people) :

1 MkI (soon to be in my yard)
4 MkII's
3 burgandy MkIII's
2 Grey MkIII's
1 dark blue MkIII
3 gay blue MKIII's
3 white MkIII's
(total of 12 MkIII's)

the dark blue one is the only 89+, and that as well as all 3 burgandy ones are turbo. 2 of the burgandy ones are modded (mine and the guy who got me into supras) and one of the gay blue ones is going to recieve a JZ swap sometime. Everything else is N/A and the owners aren't into modding them.

we also get a stripper from SLC that drives a white turbo MkIV, she's pretty cool to talk with, but doesn't care about modding it.

I see more mkII's than anyother. There always old and beat up, but there out there. I go weeks before spotting one mk3 anywhere.
